The ShootQ Team
Travis Schreer
Customer Support Specialist
Travis Schreer is the newest addition to the ShootQ team, bringing the Southern hospitality of Atlanta to the opposite coast, from his perch in the Pacific Northwest. With his life-long passion for helping creative people realize their ambitions, Travis provides a welcome voice to the choir by applying this same passion to the artistry of enterprise within the photography industry.
Travis is a wanderer in every sense of the word, and this lifetime of travel and the various experiences he has harvested along the way have informed his world view and created an uncanny ability to see through the eyes of all types of people. While studying at the Kendall College of Art and Design and Eastern Michigan University, simultaneously pursuing a BFA in fine art and a Masters in creative writing, Travis rediscovered his fascination with photography and began working as a product photographer. After a brief stint studying poetry in Paris and years of developing his own artistic identity from the comforts of various midwestern cities, Travis packed his wool socks and moved to the chilly climes of Alaska. While there, he broadened his knowledge of the photography industry through his work for Alaska's largest advertising agency and his involvement with several stock photography companies. It was also in Alaska that Travis photographed his first wedding alongside his partner, photographer Jessica Hill, and the two began to lay the groundwork for the company that was to follow. Then, it was on to Portland, Oregon where Jessica and Travis would put all of their brainstorming into effect and establish Jessica Hill Photography as one of the premiere boutique wedding photography studios in the area.
Travis found a home with ShootQ precisely because of his extensive understanding of varied aspects of professional photography, his 10 years of customer service experience, and his intense desire to help expand the creative potential of your business.
Though always happy to help guide a customer through the intricacies of ShootQ, Travis does require some time of his own. It is in those moments that you might find him working on a community art installation, snapping out a sestina on an antique typewriter, or channelling Son House on 1927 parlor guitar. Next time you are in Portland stop by Laurelhurst Park, where Travis can be found most days. He's the scruffy guy playing with Collignon Quincampoix, the coolest dog you will ever meet.
